The Rules

Here on The Boardwalk, we like to use permissive, common sense rules to govern posting on the Forums; we're all adults here, after all, and we're here to help each other out. (In short, when in doubt, just be nice!) With that in mind, we ask that you please adhere to the following:

1. If you are under 18 years of age, you must have express written consent from your parent or guardian on file with The Boardwalk's admin team in order to open a profile here. Contact boardwalk@atlantic-computing.com for assistance.

2. Please refrain from any excessive profanity, abuse, hate speech, sexual content, harassment, or conduct unbecoming a social space provided by a computer services company. Kindness, courtesy, understanding, and politeness are virtues in all aspects of life, but they are especially valued here.

3. Please do not use these forums to promote or sell any service or product, except with prior permission from The Boardwalk's admin team, which may be requested at boardwalk@atlantic-computing.com. (Announcements about matters of public interest or community meetings or information sessions are acceptable.) If allowed, The Boardwalk does not endorse or guarantee any goods or services being discussed.

4. The Boardwalk makes no guarantee or warranty, express or implied, on any advice or recommendation given on these forums on any topic; all advice and recommendations are given on a good-faith basis only. The Boardwalk and its admin team hold no liability based on any post or writing on these forums.

5. Any political content should be restricted to the forum that is designated for such content (which is conveniently called "Politics"). We ask that the News forum be used for non-political news as much as is possible, at the request of our user community.

6. The members of The Boardwalk's admin team are the sole judges of what constitutes a breach of these rules, and are the sole determinants of what is to be done under such a breach. You may be warned, moderated, or banned entirely for any violation.
