Character Submissions:

Name
Audrey Ortiz (hero name not determined)

Identity
She's taking a gap year, financed by her Patreon, documenting her experiences as a superpowered teen.

Costume
Initially - street clothes. She has a very limited wardrobe for hikinig across the country in, so assume jeggings and jeans jacket with a lot of pockets over a t shirt, and a backpack.

Backstory
Late in her senior year of high school Audrey woke up to find that she had become very strong, and tough, and much faster and more agile than she had been.

Powers
She's really strong and (as far as she knows) pretty much invulnerable.

Minor Powers
Nope.

Talents
Not really.

Skills
She spent two years on the JV cheerleading squad, but didn't make Varsity. She's become a much better gymnyst when she got super powers, because she's more agile than before.

Her Junior year she got into social media, and is pretty good with computers.

She speaks Spanish

Gadgets and Equipment
No.

Perks
She's Insta-famous, and has a decent following on her You-Tube channel. Does that count?

Quirks
She's young and fairly naive. Still figuring heserself out - she took a boy to homecoming and a girl to prom.

Principles
She has a twin brother who is on the autistic spectrum. She has NO tolerance for bullies, and has promised herself she will never be one.

Flaws
She's not very impressive, she's too young to drink, she's pretty small.

So she never got the "with great power comes great responsibility" speech from her mom?

I’m actually aiming for a low angst character, therefore no Uncle Ben performance from Mom.

Also, this is somewhat terrifying, but Lise has been researching obscure dinky little towns in Utah and also listening to Top 40 songs from Daddy Yankee and other Latino artists to see what Latina teeners would be listening to now. It's an unusual Sunday night.

I think KikisIslandLife is going to be too busy with her move to work on her character, so this might be delayed for a while. I could do some solo backstory-type runs to prepare things, but I haven't planned anything of that type yet.

Solo runs will be easy, since regular runs would be online anyway. :)

I've kind of lost some momentum on this...I might see about picking it up again soon, but it might take a while. Other life-type things are demanding attention. (Not just kitties.)

My first thoughts on a superhero character:

Speedster - Theodore "Teddy" Bartlett

Teddy never did anything by halves and he was practically born with boundless energy since he has ADHD. At some point, his body caught up with his racing mind as he developed super speed. Finding it hard to sit still and stuck in a world where everybody else is so slow can be frustrating but it is also exhilarating.

Technopath - Franklin Cole

One day Franklin started to hear voices. Well, not voices exactly but electronic systems started to talk to him and he could talk back. He found that he could use these conversations to more easily use computers and create gadgets. To a limited degree he can control technology through touch or he could just ask them nicely.

Body Manipulation - Marco Dawson

When running away from MTA cops on the light rail one day in a complete misunderstanding, Marco tried to get through the closing doors and found himself able to squeeze through an inch-wide gap. In his surprise, he stumbled into the street and slipped through a grate in the sidewalk. He found that he could focus and stretch and reform the shape of his body.

Size Manipulation - Henry "Hank" Harper

Tired of watching his little brother get bullied, Hank suddenly grew to 12-feet-tall which startled the bullies. When he thought people might see, he panicked and shrunk to four inches tall and ran away. Since then he has tried to keep this power under control.

This one sounds a lot like Impulse.
