I would run in D&D 5e which is the version that I am familiar with and frankly the simplest version to my knowledge. It would take place in the setting that I started designing and creating in 2018. I have plenty of documents on the lore of the world. It's not anything too crazy but I have a general story worked out. I just need to work on some of the assets for some custom characters and just put things together. The teaser I wrote a while is below:
------
Welcome!
You suddenly find yourself coming to consciousness in a dimly lit room. You are completely alone and there are no sounds except the sounds of pleasant music. It feels like you are in a seated position. In fact, you realize that you are seated in a comfortable chair opposite a smooth stone wall. Carefully painted on that wall is the phrase "Relax! Everything is OK." To the right of that message is an open doorway.

Re: The Game I Was Going to Run
Huh...so this is more of a puzzle room type of thing?

Re: The Game I Was Going to Run
I have a possible idea as well...nowhere near as puzzly, and I'd probably use Hero System since I don't really have the 5e books. We might be able to negotiate a shared world...

Re: The Game I Was Going to Run
I mean it wouldn't be very puzzly. Just slightly in dungeons probably. But I'm very willing to play something other than DnD since people aren't so keen on it right now. Maybe put it on hold until we're in person again. I could work on something else with you and/or I could also look into simpler systems for other ideas.

Re: The Game I Was Going to Run
The only reason I suggested Hero instead of D&D is that that's the book I can put my hands on now. I was going to homebrew a system but that would be more trouble than it's worth...

I think these both sound fun! I have books.... somewhere. Didn't we talk about having a PDF somewhere for DnD?

We did but apparently, it's not a book. I've looked into the Hero System a bit, I just need to know what version.

The one I have is Fifth Edition. And I think I might have .pdfs of it somewhere.WolfofWords wrote: ↑Sat Jan 09, 2021 5:06 pm We did but apparently, it's not a book. I've looked into the Hero System a bit, I just need to know what version.

This is a bit of an info dump for my campaign since, as was mentioned, I have been working on this world since 2017. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
Atlas
1 2 3 4
Custom Pantheon

Alright, I realize that this is *a lot*. You should see all of the stuff that I didn't post here.
The atlas is to give you an idea of the world of the game and where you want your character to be from. I will be working primarily with the western continent (Parts 1 and 2) if you want to narrow things down a bit.
The Pantheon is me getting way, way too wordy because I am a huge mythology nerd. Really the important thing is each god and the domain they rule over. A lot of what I wrote is literally ancient history. If your character is a cleric/paladin/especially religious this will be important knowledge. If they are not, then you can rely on your fellow party members' religion and history checks.
