I'm looking to host a number of files for public upload and download on a (probably) BSD system. I need an easy visual organization system, probably on a Web frontend, and an easy (and somewhat secure) way to have files submitted for review before being posted.
What would people use for this purpose?
Filezilla looks like I'd have to write a Web page to go along with it...also considering Pure-FTPd, but not sure of the bona fides there.

What's wrong with just putting up the server, and having some recommended FTP clients the user can play with? That way they can find something which works for them?scooter wrote: ↑Sat Apr 15, 2023 5:50 pm I'm looking to host a number of files for public upload and download on a (probably) BSD system. Other options (heads up, I haven't worked with any of these):
Tutorial from MakeUseOf
Oliver
Monsta
Hopefully something will do...

Re: FTP or file server with robust HTML frontend
I'm thinking that the user base won't necessarily have access to FTP. They're used to this, or this. Now I wouldn't need anything this fancy - just a Web page with download listings, some simple organization, and a button to upload.CrazyCraftLady wrote: ↑Sun Apr 16, 2023 11:11 am

For what it's worth, of the ones I found, Monsta seemed to come the most highly appreciated.
