Can someone do me a favor and verify this? :???: Does anyone know of a different site for Verizon which is active?

EDIT: Okay, got further: went to their FAQ, which has a "Sign In" link, which does somehow bring up a login/passwd prompt. This branches to a "Your account is locked" message and a "Continue" button to reset your password -- and pressing Continue leads to the page above. :rage:

Actually visited their office today, explained the situation...and was given a number to call. On their "Cancellation Team".

We need some trust-busters out there...

Called their "Disconnect Team" - sorry, got the exact terminology wrong; I know how vital it is to indicate exactly what your position is - and got a recording saying, "Our records indicate you are not a Verizon Wireless customer. If it makes you feel any better, they call my office once a day and I get to mess with their sales team a bit. We don't need their services.
