Error generated by committing the cardinal sin of going to verizon.com and clicking on "Sign In". This is at the time of posting and has been going on for at least 24 hours.

Can someone do me a favor and verify this? Does anyone know of a different site for Verizon which is active?

EDIT: Okay, got further: went to their FAQ, which has a "Sign In" link, which does somehow bring up a login/passwd prompt. This branches to a "Your account is locked" message and a "Continue" button to reset your password -- and pressing Continue leads to the page above.

This all sounds really bad for their IT/Web Support team.

Actually visited their office today, explained the situation...and was given a number to call. On their "Cancellation Team".

Called their "Disconnect Team" - sorry, got the exact terminology wrong; I know how vital it is to indicate exactly what your position is - and got a recording saying, "Our records indicate you are not a Verizon Wireless customer. Please hang up and dial *611 to speak to your provider. Goodbye." *click*

People have been drawn and quartered for less.
