I'm going to guess that david63 may have different ideas about what might go in a fork, as would most of the mod staff, who seem determined to keep the software firmly in 1995. I've seen 3Di before - any idea why he was banned?[Dimetrodon] wrote: ↑Sat Sep 03, 2022 8:51 pm Interestingly enough, david63 actually agrees with you that phpBB should be forked. So does 3Di, who is a former team member who got banned recently.

Re: Decline of phpBB.com
I'm not certain. I do know that he clashed with the modern phpBB team quite often and spent over a year on the Moderation Queue. hanakin (a phpBB dev who is trying to replace prosilver) is embarking on an ambitious project called Chameleon which will supposedly bring forth new features. The project isn't going well though, and it's questionable if what he is doing is feasible or salvageable. It's probably neither of those things. It was supposed to be the star feature of phpBB4, but the whole thing is pretty much dead. The current dev version of phpBB4 is stable, but doesn't really change much.scooter wrote: ↑Sat Sep 03, 2022 10:25 pmI'm going to guess that david63 may have different ideas about what might go in a fork, as would most of the mod staff, who seem determined to keep the software firmly in 1995. That was a major contention between 3Di and the team whom he correctly believes lacks adequate leadership. So he probably got short with a team member one too many times and got banned. Maybe he went after hanakin himself.
He agrees with david on many things though, so I don't know if you two would clash or not.

It gets worse. I don't think that 88 in his email means anything good either.scooter wrote: ↑Fri Nov 25, 2022 6:42 pmSome of those individual words made sense. :wtfsign:[Dimetrodon] wrote: ↑Thu Nov 24, 2022 9:54 am https://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtop ... #p15902891

Hail Elon Musk.
Ok, that is only mildly clickbaity. Rather, the support team leader is talking about how great starlink's customer service is.
