Frankly, the plot summary of The Snowman made it sound like a somewhat interesting, though not exactly groundbreaking, detective thriller. But I have a strong feeling that the reviewer is right - he filled in the details that made it coherent.

It's based on the seventh book in a series of Norwegian detective novels that I've heard are at least decent. Why they started with the seventh book is as much a mystery as the rest of the weird decisions they made. I might check out book one in the Harry Hole series at some point. Maybe only a few chapters if it ends up being as bad as the movie.

Well, considering that it is one of many movies that makes the case for Prosperity Gospel, it is pretty terrifying. Also discusses the whole thing where its star Ja Rule got away scot-free from Fyre Fest repercussions.

The good thing about this is it does remind me that churches are the perfect cover for a lot of stuff...and that I am not only ordained, but have a church under the ULC.
