The Dancing Fools aka The Boogie Knights aka "The Disco Inferno and "Das Wunderkind" Alex Wright



I thought that since it's a musical night, I would highlight these absolute goobers. I was not a WCW fan back in the late 90s but I did watch a bit here and there when WWF Raw was preempted for whatever reason. Disco Inferno was a New Yorker who still disco-danced decades after the fad was over. Alex Wright was a young German pro-wrestling genius. These two very different guys seemed to bond over their mutual love for dance. The two would team, drift apart, and team again over and over through the years. They were supposed to be a comedy heel act but I find myself loving them unironically now. Their dance moves mid-match would often lead to their defeat but Wright in particular was a great performer. They were joined for a little bit by Tokyo Magnum, a Japanese wrestler who idolized Wright and also liked to dance but that ended quickly.

This theme is just so perfect. It encapsulates the team of Bear Money so well that the lyrics actually make me laugh. What happened was that "Cowboy" James Storm, a beer-drinking redneck needed a tag partner after moving on from America's Most Wanted (the tag team, not the show). Robert Roode had been adrift when Team Canada was forced to disband. Roode had started his own business and had gained wealth. These two guys came together. James Storm was "Beer" and Robert Roode was "Money".

Christian Cage has had a particular tactic that he always uses to get under his opponent's skin in AEW. He insults their dead dad (and sometimes hits on their living mother).

At this point, the crowd knows exactly what he is doing and I wonder whose dad he will go after next.
